The “word of knowledge” or “utterance of wisdom” is another name for the spiritual gift of knowing. Gnosis, the Greek word for this gift, simply means “knowledge and insight.” In 1 Corinthians 12:8, the emphasis is on the ability to communicate this information to others in a certain setting.
