The prophet sees himself standing in a valley filled with dry human bones in his vision. He is given the task of carrying a prophecy. The bones link into human shapes before him, and then the bones are covered in tendon tissues, flesh, and skin. The bones are then revealed to the prophet as the people of Israel in exile, and God tells the prophet to deliver another prophecy in order to revive, resuscitate, and bring these human beings back to the Land of Israel.
What are the dry bones in your life?
Anyone who knows me knows that I enjoy singing. It is one of the many blessings that God has bestowed upon me during my spiritual journey. I recently received a track named “Accompanying Track” as a gift “Dead Bones.”
This song is based on Ezekiel 37, which depicts Ezekiel standing in a valley of ancient, dry bones. God instructed him to speak to the bones, telling them that God would breathe life into them, restore their tendons, flesh, and skin, and they would come to life and recognize Him as the Lord!
Ezekiel obeyed and pronounced the words, and they became bone to bone, with tendons, flesh, and skin covering them but no air. God commanded Ezekiel to summon the four winds and breathe life into them. The wind breathed the breath of life, and a huge army rose to their feet, just as Ezekiel predicted.
How many of us walk about feeling that we're a bunch of dried bones with little possibility of improving our situation?
We believe “Oh, it's a new year; everything will be better now,” we think, but then we glance about and discover that nothing has changed.
What has changed in your life, specifically? Do you spend your time lamenting your loss and hopelessness or thanking God that you still have a life to live?
When I'm feeling hopeless, it's easy for me to feel helpless. My spouse died in April of last year, and he had me spoilt in our home. Things seem too much for me to handle, yet God reminds me that I am not alone. He is constantly near me, ready to respond if I reach out to Him.
When I first begin to have “dry bones” I have to make the decision to return to my first love. I have to make the decision to concentrate on God and how good He is to me. Is it going to make things better right away? I'd want to be able to say that “Yes,” you might say, but no, it doesn't. Because I chose to walk down the path of despair, I now had to turn around and return from the valley of dry bones to joy and hope.
Our heart, mind, and soul are affected by what we choose to focus on and allow to become primary in our lives. That is then what we begin to communicate and manifest in our lives.

Everything we do in life is based on the decisions we make. Do we want to be bitter and vengeful, or do we want to be loving and generous? Do we want to be despondent or ecstatic?
When we begin to sense the “We must choose not to claim and hold on to the “dry bones” of our existence, such as sadness, helplessness, hopelessness, bitterness, or any other negative sensation.
We must cling to God's Word and let His goodness flood our hearts and minds. For many of us, falling into a hole of despair has become far too easy because we choose to live by our feelings, and rising out of that pit has become increasingly tough.
In Proverbs 4:23, Solomon instructs us “Maintain care over your heart, for it is from it that the streams of life flow.”
It's critical to keep our emotions and brains safe. Keep them in mind “So that we don't become dry and brittle, we need to be “oiled” with God's life-giving Word.
Jesus taught us to love God with all of our hearts, souls, and minds, as well as our neighbors as ourselves. The drawbacks of having a “We are unable to love someone as Jesus commanded because we have a “dry bone” mentality.
Let's look at the new year as an opportunity to make more positive decisions rather than another opportunity for things to go wrong. Trust God to lead and guide you in your decision-making if you choose to spend time strengthening your relationship with Him.
Praise, praise, sing, dance, and be grateful for everything He has done, is doing, and will do in your life. Bring your ideas to life “Watch as God breathes life into your spirit and fills you with the oil of joy,” says the Bible.
Remember that getting out of the valley of dry bones may take some time, but God is with you every step of the journey. If you haven't asked for His help yet, He is ready to welcome you into His family with open arms. In this life, calling on Jesus to be your Savior is the one instantaneous guarantee we have. When we call on His Name, He accepts, saves, and forgives us right away.
What is the significance of dry bones rattling?
Ezekiel is told to prophesy over the bones as the Spirit of the LORD leads him into the valley, declaring that they shall spring to life! The bones begin to rattle and link together, and tendons and skin develop over them.
What does it mean to dream about bones?
Finding bones in a dream indicates that we have not yet considered an important aspect of an issue. Seeing our bones break and be ripped out might also indicate that we need to rebuild our life and start afresh. It could also signal that we believe we are in danger.

When Moabite warriors came over the hill, some unlucky individual had died and was ready to be buried in a tomb. The men in charge of his funeral were too terrified to continue with a formal burial and funeral, so they simply placed his body upon Elisha's bones. He came back to life when they did! Can you imagine how surprised everyone was?
People were buried in caverns with a shelf hewn out of the rock back then. The deceased would be placed on the shelf until he turned to bones, after which the bones would be placed in an ossuary and the tomb would be reused. They threw the corpse into Elisha's tomb, which was probably nearby, to get away from the attackers.
