A sudden understanding of a spiritual reality can be regarded as a spiritual awakening. A spiritual awakening can't be properly defined by one person for another. Of all, everyone has a unique perspective on life and defines things in their own way. It might happen at any time or in any phase of your life.

What does it mean for your soul to be illuminated?
The Invocation provided by Hazrat Inayat Khan is traditionally repeated at the start of some Sufi activities, such as the Universal Worship ceremony and Inner School sessions. The words are appropriate for a beginning because they describe a journey and the manner in which we hope to travel: our destination is Unity, Perfection, the Real, the One and Only Being, and we journey in that direction with other travellers, the illuminated souls who, together, make up the physical manifestation of the ever-present Spirit of Guidance, as in a caravan crossing the wilderness.
In reality, all beings are on their way to the One, but not all of them do so consciously.
As a result, the Invocation reassures us, assuring us that we are in excellent company, with companions who know the road, because of our attunement.
But what exactly do we mean when we say “illuminated souls”?
Many ideas exist about lighting, the most of which are based on theory rather than experience.
People believe that ‘illumination' should refer to something other than a human, such as a being with angelic wings and a visible halo, endowed with omniscience and incredible abilities, and living in a world far distant from their daily lives.
And, of course, if this is the belief, it is unlikely that ‘illuminated souls' exist; perhaps such celestial examples are just a story we tell ourselves as we stumble around in the darkor perhaps they existed once in another age, or in some far-off, exotic location, such as a hidden valley in the Himalayas, but not in my own neighborhood.
People couldn't envision an enlightened spirit using the train, walking down the street, or eating in a restaurant, according to Hazrat Inayat.
In some ways, the phrase “illuminated soul” is a tautology, similar to stating “excellent goodness” or “calm serenity.”
The soul is light itself, Divine Light functioning within a transitory shroud, we are informed (and some have discovered for themselves).
What does it mean to suggest that the soul can be lighted if it is light?
But, while the Divine Light is present in all beings (how could it be otherwise? ), the question is whether we are aware of it.
Many people are so engrossed in the never-ending game of form, looking outward rather than inward, that they miss out on the true miracle of their own nature.
An ‘illuminated soul' is one who has realized its own truth, one who has become conscious of consciousness without regard for label or form.
Is it true that when one realizes that we are all rays of the Divine Light, such understanding brings about extraordinary changes?
Yes, if the released prisoner considers his or her liberation a miracle.
The rules of the physical world do not alter when the soul becomes aware of its own light; there will still be toothaches and unwelcome letters from the tax office, but the soul no longer feels defined by the unavoidable hurts and disappointments of life.
This isn't a realization that can be replicated.
‘I read the last page of the book, and I know I have Divine Light somewhere, so I'm illuminated now,' one cannot declare.
The rags of'me' must be put away in order to recognize that reality, and the most direct path to such release is via devotion to the Divine.
Some fly that far in a single flight, while others travel in stages, but the voyage is the same for all.
There have been innumerable illuminated individuals from various origins, cultures, and nations, but one thing they always had in common was a true longing, from the depths of their hearts, that all souls could come to the same recognition.
As a result, the Invocation includes a mention of them.
Another lesson inherent in the Invocation is that illumination does not mean the end of the journey; illuminated spirits are also on their way, and it is a magnificent boon that we can join them on their journey.
What is God's illumination?
In the fields of mind and knowledge, divine illumination is the oldest and most influential alternative to naturalism. Human beings, according to the doctrine, require particular divine support in their everyday cognitive processes. Although Augustine and his scholastic successors are most intimately connected with the theory, it dates back to the ancient period and would return, modified, in the early modern era.
How does the Holy Spirit give us understanding?
When a believer places their faith in Christ for salvation, the Holy Spirit comes to reside in them. That worldly spirit was replaced with the Spirit of God when we came to believe in Christ. We obtain the ability to comprehend what can only be comprehended spiritually and not via our bodily senses through Him.
What is the difference between illuminate and luminate?
The distinction between luminate and illuminate as verbs is that luminate means to illuminate (obsolete), whereas illuminate means to shine light on something.
