- Support the preservation of our national parks. The National Park Service has long had a tight budget, and planned budget cuts might exacerbate the problem. Staffing levels, hours of operation, and facilities could all be cut or abolished. Visit our national parks as much as possible. You can also donate to a specific park or a group called Friends of the Park.
- Participate on a jury. Jury service may be inconvenient at times, but it is an important part of what makes this country great.

We shared dinner and laughed at each other's jokes and stories. Everyone went out of their way to assist me and ensure that I had a wonderful time on the gorgeous islands. Everyone wanted to know about my house and travels. They also enjoyed discussing the Philippines and telling anecdotes about their homeland. I don't blame the Filipinos for being proud of their country; it is stunning and inviting. I've never taken so many photos in my life as I did in the Philippines. It is without a doubt the most beautiful nation I have ever visited. It's a welcoming and encouraging environment.
It was like living in paradise for a month in the Philippines. It was like walking into a luxury vacation advertising, with the sand so white and the ocean so beautiful. I admire how honest and authentic Filipinos and the Philippines are. Yes, some areas have become tourist traps, but a short walk across the corner will reveal the actual beauty of this incredible country. This is a traveler's paradise.
