What Are Spiritual Treasures

I've grown to believe that it's the small thoughts and truths about Christianity that, when examined closely, make the most sense and are the most deep realities of life.

It is critical to understand that our God is not a God of perplexity, as we would make Him out to be.

You invest in order to earn a decent return on your money, as well as an acceptable return on your time and work.

The question then becomes, from a Christian perspective, what, if anything, is the expected return on the life you invested here after you die, if you believe eternity is predicated on the investment you made while you're alive?

I'm not trying to be questioned here. I understand you won't be able to ear your way into heaven. All of this is and has always been made possible by God's undeserved kindness.

But, since we know the physical world is only transient and not the end of our existence, it makes sense to consider what we will need in our next life.

As a result, what plans/investments have you made for your next life? Have you made prudent investments now that you know there is a future phase to your life?

I wouldn't say that you can invest your way into God's kingdom, but I am suggesting that “what you do in life does indeed echo in eternity,” as the old expression implies.

“Do not store up treasures on earth where moth and rust ruin, and where thieves break in and steal,” the Bible states plainly. But keep your treasures in heaven, where moth and rust will not ruin them and thieves will not break in and take them. Because where your treasure is, there will your heart be.” (Matthew 6:19-21; Luke 6:19-21)

Knowing what makes a spiritually based wealth, it appears to me, is the key to comprehending this and, as a result, investing properly.

That's simple in the real world. It's the physical manifestation of riches, whether it's in the form of money, assets, material goods, physical pleasures, and so on.

Life is spent attempting to accumulate these earthly goods. Matthew's point, as well as mine, is that spiritual treasures, such as faith and understanding, as well as spiritual treasures, such as truth, are also easily stored.

Each day you confess Christ as Lord and our heavenly Father as sovereign, I believe, is a day of treasure.

You see, a lifetime of trust and belief is a lifetime of accepting God's promise of eternal redemption.

We fail every day in our attempts, yet Jesus' sacrifice on the cross allows us to grow as Christians and expand our roles as centers of gospel propagation, even if just by example.

This maturation process entails being born again of the spirit and resisting as many of the world's bad temptations as possible.

We are productive and effective in our knowledge of the truth about Christ, according to Simon Peter.

“Be much the more eager, my brothers, to make your calling and election certain.” Because if you do these things, you will never fail, and you will be lavishly welcomed into our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ's eternal kingdom? (2 Peter 1:10-11)

As a Christian, I suppose I'm stating that I recognize the value of a dollar. I recognize that I require a few to survive and navigate this world, but I also recognize that, in the end, they are worthless in the long run, eternally speaking.

When it comes to putting money into my spiritual bank account, it's all about my acts, my faith, and my understanding of reality. Make wise investments.

What does it mean to store up your treasure in heaven?

The Jews Jesus was speaking to would have been well-versed in the words “earthly treasure” and “heavenly treasure” at the time. It was a typical phrase in their lingo. In fact, the Jews understood heavenly riches as acts of mercy and kindness toward those who are in need.

In Luke 12:33-34 NIV, Jesus gives us a glimpse of heaven's richness when he says:

Give to the impoverished by selling your belongings. Provide yourselves with non-wearing purses and a treasure in heaven that will never fail, where no thief will approach near and no moth will damage. Because where your treasure is, so will your heart be.

We can observe how Jesus compares selling possessions and giving to the poor to heavenly treasure. If I had to define treasure in heaven, I would say that it is simply living life with open hearts and open hands.

We have an open heart for the poor, the weak, the disenfranchised, and the marginalized because we have a heart like God's.

Open hands means living life with a loose grasp mentality, so that our earthly possessions are used to make a difference in the lives of those who are less fortunate for the cause of Jesus Christ.

… proclamation of good news to the poor He has sent me to announce liberation for the captives and sight restoration for the blind, and to free the oppressed. – NIV Luke 4:18

We amass treasure in heaven by seeking God's kingdom via service to others, which reveals the greatest of all God's sacrifices for us!

Where is treasure in the Bible?

“Where your treasure is, there will also be your heart,” says Matthew 6:21 on a bench near Hatchmere, United Kingdom. Matthew 6:21 is the twenty-first verse of the Sermon on the Mount, which is included in the sixth chapter of Matthew's Gospel in the New Testament. The issue of wealth continues in this verse.

What does the Bible say about heavenly treasures?

The following is taken from the King James Version of the Bible: 19: Lay not up for yourself riches on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break through and steal: 20: But store up treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust can destroy them.

For where your treasure is there will your also be?

“It's all about the location!” This word has come up several times in business discussions. The traffic pattern of a business can be determined by something as simple as which side of the street it is located on, and this slight difference could be the difference between success and failure for that firm. Finding out what a person values is crucial when it comes to matters of the heart. Because you can't see what's in a person's heart, you have to look at what comes out of it to figure out what it's worth. “For where your treasure is, so will your heart be” (Matthew 6:21). You must first determine the condition of someone's heart before giving it to them. Here are some pointers.

To assess a person's heart condition, you must first identify their values and passions. The places where men and women put their hands, hearts, and money reveal what they treasure and value. If a man appreciates his biceps more than his principles, he will value the way he appears more than he will value honoring what he says. If money is more important to him than mission, he will prioritize accumulating fortune over helping his family and community. The heart of a guy can be found within his treasures, values, and hobbies. This is also true for women. Find your passion, and you'll find your heart.

Second, you must evaluate if a person's heart is centered in order to determine the status of their heart. The center of a person's being is their heart. It is the source of their values. What value do they place on honesty? What are their interpersonal relationships like? Do the events of their lives have a proper place and future? Someone who succeeds in business but fails in his personal life is not balanced. The values of a decent person originate from within. Being centered means that you judge yourself not by your material belongings, but by the virtues that are held in the center of your heart.

What is our reward in heaven?

For having been persecuted, you will receive a tremendous reward in paradise. They were the prophets who preceded you. The text is translated as follows in the World English Bible: Rejoice and be extremely pleased, for great is.

How can I see my spiritual eyes?

  • Pray with your eyes closed. You don't have to close your eyes, but there's something about tuning into God's realm and shutting out the earthly sphere that allows us to see what He sees.
