Spiritual battle can be explained by comparing it to physical conflict. Controlling land for political or economic power was a common theme in historical warfare. The battle for control of people's souls is known as spiritual warfare.
God created you for a reason, whether you believe in Him and follow Him or not. He made you in order for you to know Him and feel His love. He made you to love others as much as He loves you and to use your skills and talents for the greater good to direct people to Him.
God, on the other hand, has an adversary known as Satan or the devil. He is frequently referred to as simply “God's enemy” because he is an enemy of God and God's people “The adversary.”
Satan is hell-bent on keeping people from knowing God and entrusting their life to Him. The enemy's techniques may vary depending on whether or not someone is a Christian, but his ultimate goal is to prevent people from feeling God's love.
Whether you are currently under spiritual attack, know someone who is, or simply want to learn more about spiritual warfare, the resources listed below will help you comprehend the topic and how to employ one of the most powerful weapons God has given us in our battle: prayer.
Here are some key points to consider as we learn about spiritual warfare and pray about it:
How do you pray against the enemy?
I command the storm of destruction to gather upon every satanic power that is against my health IN THE MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS! I decree and declare great casualty upon witches and wizards operating in my neighborhood, the judgment of God shall torment the powers of darkness working against me both at night and in the morning, the night shall carry terror and anger against all satanic powers that are standing against me, the night shall carry terror and anger against all satanic powers that
RIGHT NOW, IN THE NAME OF JESUS, my prayers have become earthquakes and storms in the devil's camp that is against my life; the Lord shall gather his armor against powers that are against my intellectual growth; all sickness in my life, known or unknown, receives heavenly storm; all conspiracy against any part of my body receives destruction now!
I order the deep wells inside me to be freed and broken forth in the name of JESUS!
What happens to the spirit when you fast?
Now, let's get back to fasting. We learn to say “no” to the body's most fundamental and overwhelming desire: food, while we fast. Simply put, if you can master your body's basic drive for food, you can master your body's desire for everything else. I often argue that once you learn to say “no” to food, lust is no longer an issue. When you master the highest degree of spiritual discipline, you obtain instant control over the lower levels. Fasting is one of the most powerful ways to educate our flesh to submit to the Spirit. Fasting dissolves spiritual ties! Fasting is a painful death blow to the flesh, and once the flesh is tamed, it loses control of us. It no longer serves as our “default” response. We have complete freedom to live for God.
What is a good prayer for protection?
As I begin this day, I pray for Your protection. You are my safe haven, and I can always find sanctuary under Your wings. Keep me safe from harm wherever I go, and keep evil at bay. I shall look to You as my Protector, the one who battles for me every day, no matter where I am.
Your love and constancy, as well as Your goodness and mercy, surround me on a daily basis, so I will not be afraid of anything. God, I put my trust in You and thank You for Your kindness and protection.
What is the warrior spirit?
Warriors in Native civilizations developed talents that enabled them to contribute to their tribe. Today, the warrior spirit entails using our God-given abilities and talents to benefit the “tribe” we serve. This tribe could be made up of relatives, neighbors, coworkers, or pals.
Can you pray for something bad to happen to someone?
If you wish for something awful to happen to someone because they've wronged you, be aware that it could come back to haunt you in unexpected ways. When conspiring against someone, keep in mind that the Almighty is watching. Never pray for people with a bad intention or a terrible prayer!
What is Psalm 109 used for?
This psalm is one of the Imprecatory Psalms against deceitful enemy, according to the New Oxford Annotated Bible, and is titled “Prayer for rescue from enemies.” It begins with the psalmist's plea in verses 15, then moves on to a lengthy imprecation (verses 619, concluding or summarizing in verse 20). The resumed pleading in verse 21 includes appeals to Yahweh's steadfast love, specifics of the psalmist's own misery, and a prayer for revenge against the adversaries, but the lament concludes with the promise to praise (verses 3031), which is so typical in this style of psalm. The psalmist's curse ‘extends through three generations' in verses 814: on the person (verse 8), the person's children (verses 913), and the person's parents (verse 14). Psalm 55 reflects the shift from many foes (verses 25) to a single individual (verses 619).
In verse 4, evil is provided ‘in exchange for my affection.' The curses in this chapter are in line with Proverbs 17.13, which states that “if evil is given for good, evil will not depart from their house.” Returning evil for good is also found in other Psalms, such as 41, 69, and here in 109, as portending Judas as a ‘anti-friend' character who returns evil for good or even friendship.
In contrast to the introduction of Psalm 110, when God calls a man to sit at his right hand, made eternally like the priest king Melchizedek, the end of Psalm 109 shows God at the right hand of the impoverished man.
How long should you fast for spiritual?
Fasting duration is also determined by personal inclination and ability. Fasting for long periods of time is not possible for certain people due to health issues. Others may fast for several days at a time. Remember, the purpose of fasting is to strengthen your relationship with God. It is not a question of how many days or how long one can fast. Fasting is a very personal experience with the Lord. As a result, there's no need to compare how long you've been fasting to how long others have been fasting.
Before you start fasting, I urge that you pray and ask the Lord how long you should fast for. If you're new to fasting, I recommend beginning with one meal or one day. You can continue for extended lengths of time after you are more conscious of and familiar with the topic. You may decide after the first day that you want to continue for a longer period of time. Keep track of how your body feels if this is the case. You may feel lightheaded and weak if your body isn't used to fasting. Once your body has become accustomed to fasting, you will be able to fast for extended periods of time without experiencing these symptoms.
The length of your fast is also determined by what you're fasting from. You should not fast for longer than two or three days if you are fasting both food and drink. Furthermore, if you are only fasting from food, you can fast for extended periods of time. Some people will abstain from eating and drinking, but will sip juice to stay energized.
Types of Fasting
Abstaining from social media, entertainment, sex, sweet meals, or a variety of other things is another type of fasting. You can fast for substantially longer lengths of time if you choose to fast from the following items. This is due to the fact that these fasts have no negative impact on your health. In fact, they may help you live a healthier life. Fasting from these foods for prolonged lengths of time is something I suggest.
If you're married, make sure you have an agreement on sex abstinence with your partner. “Do not deprive each other except by mutual permission and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer,” Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 7:5. Then get back together so Satan can't tempt you because of your lack of self-control.”
