What does spiritual living mean?

It is not supernatural to live a spiritual life and to experience God at all times. It's just a regular, everyday occurrence. You don't have to fly through the air, take nitric acid, or lie on a bed of nails to achieve your goals. You don't have to accomplish anything exceptional, after all. Physical and mental accomplishments are all gymnastics, and they are counterproductive. That isn't what you call a spiritual encounter. It's possible that you'll never have a large amazing vision. Living a spiritual life entails leading a modest, beautiful, and everyday existence.

You've never seen me read people's minds or glide through the air! If something needs to happen, let it happen on its own; you don't need to force it. Simply live a clean, good life—one devoid of bodily and emotional anxiety. “Blessed are the pure in heart,” the Bible says. Purity of heart should be your cherished slogan. To encounter God within, all you have to do is keep your heart pure, like a child's. A heart like this is free of tension, anxiety, and anxieties. It is free of fears, such as the worry of acquiring and then losing things. If something has to happen, fear will not prevent it.

See to it that every minute of your life is a useful one, that you are contributing to the betterment of others. Allow your acts to be flawless. Even if your other Hatha Yoga, pranayama, asana, and meditation practices make you uncomfortable, you can still live a spiritual life. It's just that they're all aids. However, if you can live a focused life, you won't need all of those things. Why do you need medicine if you're healthy? Medicine is only required when you are unwell. You don't need any of these habits if you are always healthy—always focused, unselfish.

If you know you have a problem, you should take your medications on a regular basis. So, as a remedy, try some of these basic techniques to maintain yourself tension-free. How can I live a spiritual life?

I'm a mother and a wife. I'm a carpool driver. I cook, and there's a 50/50 chance that my family will eat what I create. I set a goal of exercising six days a week, but I've only been able to do it three times recently. I'm also starting a meditation teaching business. I enjoy socializing with my friends, but I don't get to do it as much as I used to. But, no matter what, I still manage to make time to be spiritual every day.

This isn't to suggest that I'm more spiritual or unique than you. I just incorporate my faith into everything I do, giving even the most boring chores significance and assisting me in my personal development. I'm always learning new things, working on forgiving myself and others, and trying to be more attentive.

Certain days are unquestionably better than others. Even my worst days might feel like a wonderful gift when I have a firmly entrenched spiritual perspective.

1. Mindfulness

I started my practice two years ago with eight minutes per day and gradually increased it by a minute or two every few weeks. I now meditate for 20-30 minutes every morning, but consistency is more important than time. It is preferable to meditate for five minutes every day rather than twice a week for 20 minutes. However, it is preferable to meditate twice a week than not at all.

Reading spiritual books has become an important part of my daily meditation routine. Reading novels like Robert Holden's Holy Shift! and Marianne Williamson's A Year of Miracles inspires me every day. These books are constructed with the intention of allowing the reader to read one page per day in order to avoid becoming overwhelmed by commitment. It's incredible how motivated you may feel after reading just one page of truly profound literature.

3. Develop a sense of gratitude

Increasing your thankfulness is a major changer in your life. I am convinced that the more thankfulness you express, the more things you will have to be grateful for from the Universe.

  • Do some online research. Look for local churches in your neighborhood and learn about what they have to offer and their beliefs.
  • Read spirituality-related books. Investigate the authors' viewpoints and take note of anything that appears to be relevant to you.
  • Read sacred scriptures from different religions. If something appears to be correct, investigate it further.
  • Inquire about the beliefs of your friends and relatives. Tell them you're looking for spiritual guidance and ask if they have any suggestions. Be willing to engage in spiritual debates.
  • Consult with religious authorities in your area. Inquire if they have any suggestions for discovering your spirituality.
  • Each week, try attending a service at a different church. Find out what you enjoy and what you despise. Examine whether you're drawn to any certain service or concept.
  • Take a religion or spirituality class. Learning more about what's available will assist you in deciding which path to choose.
  • Many television programs and documentaries about spirituality and other religions are available to help you understand more about other people's beliefs.
